A friend told me today Steve is leaving the country when the academic year ends. I’ll never see him again. But he’ll continue to pop up every night in my dreams while he forgets me. I know seeing him on campus and at social gatherings was painful, but not seeing him around will hurt more. I cried for the first time in a while about him. Cried hard. So much it made me vomit.
Maybe it will be for the best. Maybe someday I won’t feel like I’m being haunted anymore. It doesn’t matter. Steve, I just want you to be happy. I love you. I always will. I’ll think about you everyday. Thank you for everything. xxxxx
